About the Project
A healthcare technology client came to us to build a care-coordination platform for primary care practices. The goal was simple to state and hard to do: make sure every patient who's due for a Medicare wellness visit or preventive screening actually gets reached — and that the practice gets fully and compliantly paid for the care it delivers. Until then, eligibility, outreach, questionnaires, vitals, and billing all lived in separate tools, so eligible patients fell through and revenue leaked away without anyone seeing it.
So Avidclan built a centralized platform that automatically surfaces who's due, tells an initial wellness visit apart from a follow-up, and gives each patient a single dashboard covering every screening they need. Patients fill out their own questionnaires through a self-service portal with a one-click Spanish option. Vitals get captured in a structured form that produces the certification billing needs — right there, in the same step. And a performance dashboard shows leadership the delivery rate, the reimbursement earned, and the dollar value of what's still being missed. The whole thing was built Cookie Consent and GDPR compliant.

Fix any single piece on its own and the rest stay fragmented. So Avidclan built a complete workflow that makes the right next action obvious for every patient and turns the reimbursement paperwork into a by-product of doing the work, instead of a second job after it.
Architecture & Technology Stack Vision
A platform handling eligibility, clinical screenings, and billing data has to be dependable, so Avidclan picked a stable, proven, secure stack. The app was built on ASP.NET Web Forms with a .NET backend in C# — an enterprise standard whose maturity and strong type safety give you the reliability and data integrity a healthcare workflow needs at the point of care, where a mistake isn't just a bug.
The frontend pairs ASP.NET Web Forms with JavaScript and SignalR for responsive, real-time screens — the prioritized worklist, the per-patient dashboard, the patient self-service questionnaire, the revenue dashboard — all updating live as staff and patients work. A PostgreSQL database holds the relational clinical and billing data behind every patient: eligibility, screenings, vitals, certifications, reimbursement, structured so it comes back fast and clean.
The platform runs on Windows Server and IIS, with a controlled FTP-based deployment process that fit the client's infrastructure. A focused set of third-party libraries carries the heavy lifting: iTextSharp generates the billing and certification PDFs reimbursement requires, ImageSharp handles document and image processing, HashId hides internal identifiers in patient-facing links, and SignalR drives the live updates across the worklist and dashboards.

A focused team of 3 shipped this over 6 months out of Asana, on two-week Agile sprints coordinating over Gmail and Google Chat, designing in Figma, validating with thorough manual QA. Every commit got peer-reviewed in GitHub and deployed to IIS.
Strict Security & Compliances
A platform handling patient health information and billing data has to protect privacy by design, and Avidclan built it that way from the start. It was engineered to meet the data-protection standards healthcare software is held to.
Personal and health-related data moves only under explicit consent, with data-portability and right-to-erasure controls in the user's hands. Information is collected only for spelled-out clinical and billing reasons and protected in transit and at rest in PostgreSQL, and HashId hides internal identifiers in patient-facing links — so users stay in control of their own data.
A compliant cookie-consent framework hands every visitor clear, granular control over tracking and analytics cookies before a single non-essential cookie is set. People can review, accept, or reject categories whenever they want, so the platform respects privacy and meets consent rules from the very first page load.
Past the regulations, OAuth and session-based authentication give clinical staff, administrators, and patients access only to the data that concerns their role. Patient health information and billing records are walled off and protected, so sensitive clinical data never reaches anyone who shouldn't see it.
