We built one verified platform for the economic empowerment of the Black community founders, professionals, mentors, investors, and donors, all in the same place instead of scattered across a dozen tools. Four pillars do the work: Discover for visibility, Collab for mentorship, Do Business for a professional services marketplace, and Grow for community-powered funding. Membership stays cheap on purpose, so the door stays open to everyone, and every payment flow is built strictly PCI-DSS compliant.

About the Project
A client came to us with a gap that had sat open for years: there was no single, trusted ecosystem built specifically for the Black business community. The founder put it plainly - the community runs into systemic walls around capital, mentorship, market visibility, and affordable professional services, and nowhere brings the fixes together. Meanwhile the people with capital to invest or donate, and the professionals ready to share their skills, had no central place to reach the people who needed them.
So Avidclan built a verified, membership-based ecosystem around four pillars. Discover handles visibility - searchable profiles, a global database, personalized feeds. Collab handles connection - mentorship matching, community chat, collaboration. Do Business is the professional services marketplace, with partnership tools alongside. And Grow is the money side - community funding, crowdfunding campaigns, financial tools. A structured verification process confirms community membership, and every payment workflow was built strictly PCI-DSS compliant.

Avidclan got that this was more than a software project it was a mission. They took a tangled four-pillar vision and turned it into one coherent, secure platform people can actually use. From verified profiles and mentor booking to our community funding tools, every feature works the way our members need it to, and the payment side is protected end to end. They were real partners the whole way.

The Solution
Solving these one at a time would just rebuild the same fragmentation members were already stuck in. So Avidclan built a single ecosystem where every essential function - visibility, collaboration, professional services, and funding - works together, designed with the Black business community as the primary user and priced to stay within everyone's reach.
Architecture & Technology Stack Vision
An ecosystem juggling member data, financial transactions, and high-volume discovery needs a stack that won't crack under it, so Avidclan picked one built to scale and lock down tight. The backend runs on Microsoft .NET and .NET Core APIs in C# - the enterprise standard - where strict type safety and a compiled core kill off whole families of runtime bugs before they can ever touch a payment or a member's sensitive data.
The frontend runs on React. Its component model let the team reuse UI pieces everywhere - profile pages, the search-and-explore interface, personalized feeds, fundraising panels, the mentor booking system - while keeping data-heavy pages quick. A tuned SQL Server database handles persistence, running the tangled relational queries across members, profiles, roles, services, campaigns, payments, and bookings without buckling.
The whole thing lives on Microsoft Azure. Azure App Service hosts the core app, and Azure Functions take the event-driven work - refreshing personalized feeds, firing notifications, processing payments, updating leaderboards - so a sudden surge in activity never drags the core app down. Automated CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps mean new features ship continuously, no downtime.
Tools & Technologies
Development Process
Seven specialists shipped this out of Azure DevOps on strict two-week Agile sprints - coordinating over MS Teams, Slack, and Google Chat, designing in Figma, validating with xUnit. Every commit got peer-reviewed in GitHub and shipped continuously to Azure.
Strict Security & Compliances
On a platform holding member identities, sensitive documents, and financial contributions, Avidclan treats security as a core requirement, not a feature you tack on. Every payment, identity, and data workflow was engineered to the toughest standards in the field.
Every payment - memberships, mentor bookings, crowdfunding contributions - runs through Stripe with secure tokenization, so raw cardholder data never touches the platform's servers. Members fund campaigns and pay for services through a pipeline built to the payment industry's strictest standard, with the heavy cardholder-security burden sitting on a fully PCI-compliant gateway partner.
A structured verification process confirms community membership and checks that members are who they say they are - through documentation and, where needed, video verification. Data protection is tight: member data and verification documents get deleted within 90 days of account closure or use, and the platform stores only what it needs to run.
Members can give funds and donations anonymously, and the platform shields contributor identities by design. Role-based access through Identity Server keeps financial records, member documents, and campaign data visible only to the people cleared to see them - which is what keeps every transaction across the ecosystem honest.
Project Outcome & Long-term Impact
Through deep platform work, careful planning, and a real grasp of the community it serves, Avidclan delivered an ecosystem that changed how the Black business community reaches capital, mentorship, services, and visibility.
