This centralized platform manages daily routines, featuring appointment scheduling, telehealth diagnoses, detailed patient progress tracking, and multi-patient management. It includes automated session notes (filterable by date/time) & an education portal with certification courses to upgrade doctors' skills, ensuring maximum data security.
About the Project
One unified ecosystem for the entire medical routine
We were approached by a team to build a complete all-in-one platform for doctors, physicians, hospitals, and patients. The vision at its core was to build a HIPAA and PCI compliant unified ecosystem that manages the entire day to day routine of medical professionals. Before this project, practitioners had to work with fragmented systems.
Avidclan built a centralized hub that enables appointment scheduling, online patient diagnoses with telehealth, automated notes of patient sessions (with a filter for specific dates and time), detailed client/patient progress tracking, and multiple patient management. The platform also has a dedicated education portal with certification courses to upgrade the skills of the doctors. This platform has been designed and built with every aspect strictly HIPAA and PCI compliant to ensure maximum data security.

We have designed and engineered a complete healthcare platform that gives a medical professional everything at their fingertips.
Architecture & Technology Vision
A robust, scalable and highly secure stack
To create a system of this magnitude, our healthcare software development company chose a powerful, scalable and highly secure technology stack. For backend infrastructure we used Microsoft .NET and .NET Core APIs in C#. The .NET ecosystem is considered the gold standard for Healthcare .net app development due to its strict type safety, enterprise-grade security libraries and unrivaled performance while processing high volumes of sensitive healthcare data.
We developed REST and GraphQL APIs for seamless data retrieval. GraphQL was chosen in particular to allow the frontend applications to query precise, specific slices of patient data without over-fetching, which is critical to ensure high performance on mobile devices.
For the frontend and mobile layers, we decided on a cross-platform way of working with Flutter to build applications for both iOS and Android. Our two mobile developers could maintain a single unified codebase with Flutter, dramatically reducing healthcare app development times, while still delivering a native 60 frames per second experience to doctors on the go. The web application interface was built using JavaScript and TypeScript with Redux Toolkit for complex state management of the entire healthcare dashboard.
Data persistence was handled via a highly optimized MS SQL database, capable of handling complex relational queries regarding patient histories, appointment schedules

A specialized team of 12 executed this initiative in Asana with strict two-week Agile sprints, leveraging Claude.ai and GitHub Copilot to accelerate velocity, and enforcing peer code reviews via Git & Bitbucket. Authentication was secured with JWT and OAuth.

HIPAA Compliance (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
All patient data, session notes and medical history are encrypted at rest in our MS SQL databases and in transit across our .NET APIs. We have enforced strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) so that a healthcare provider can only see the records of the patients assigned to them. Also, as explained in our problem-solving section, our telehealth video and speech-to-text algorithms are never recording or storing raw media files, avoiding massive HIPAA liabilities and providing the utmost privacy for all healthcare conversations.
PCI Compliance (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard)
Medical billing has to be done with perfect financial security. We did this by connecting Stripe and Square using secure tokenization methods, so that sensitive credit card information never even touches our own servers. With fully PCI-compliant gateway partners, the platform takes the complex cardholder data security requirements off the table, making healthcare payments simple and easy.

Avidclan was able to deliver a platform that forever changed the way these doctors and therapists worked thanks to professional healthcare software development, meticulous planning, and an understanding of the medical industry's unique pain points.
We centralized the entire healthcare workflow so there was no need to juggle 4-6 different apps. The introduction of AI-powered speech-to-text notes alone transformed the lived experiences of practitioners on a day-to-day basis, reducing documentation time from 20 minutes to less than 4 minutes per patient. This results in hours of salvaged time over a standard workday for a single doctor — time that can be reallocated towards better healthcare for patients or greater revenue for the clinic.
